RE:
Request that the Board waive the $420 in campaign finance late fees assessed against Benjamin Barnett, a candidate for candidate for State Representative, District 104 in the October 24, 2015 Election, whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 7 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Benjamin Barnett states he withdrew only 5 days after qualifying and spent $200 of his own personal money for signs. He didn't think the campaign finance report was required since no money was raised during the campaign. It was a mistake and he promptly submitted the report after receiving the certified letter.
