Request that the board reduce some of the following campaign finance late fees assessed against Financial Services of the South, PAC, its chairperson, Jay Angelle and its treasurer, Troy Cloutier in the October 24, 2015 election: $1,600 for the 180-P report that was filed 8 days late, $2,000 for the 90-P report that was filed 14 days late, $800 for the 30-P report that was filed 4 days late, and $1,400 for the 10-P report that was filed 7 days late. |

In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Jay Angelle, chairperson asked that late fees be reduced. He is willing to send over $3000 to take care of all late charges. The fee assessed is more than the political action committee donated the whole year.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed. 18:1484.(2)(b). Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.
