Request that the Board waive the $600 fee assessed against Dorinda Bordlee based on the late filing of an October 2015 Expenditure report. |

Ms. Bordlee states that it is her practice to file her monthly report the first week of the next month. When she logged in on December 7, 2015 to file the November 2015 report, she realized that her October report was complete (indicating no lobbying and no expenses) but not yet "finalized." She believes that this occurred because she was filing her report from the hospital where she was caring for her mother one week and then her daughter the next week. She says the hospital Wi-Fi was notoriously problematic, and it seems that the "finalize report" button must not have gone through. Ms. Bordlee states that she strives to be early in the filing of her reports. She represents a small non-profit organization and she does not have separate administrative staff, nor does she have the resources to pay this penalty which is excessive given the nature of the technical difficulty.
IT staff checked the agency's database. According to the database records, Ms. Bordlee created the records for the October report on December 7th and finalized that same day. No login attempt was made between October 3rd and December 7th.
