In connection with his request that the Board reduce or waive the late fee assessed or for the late filing of 30-P the report, Nicholas Ogima states that he immediately knew upon qualifying for office that the paperwork involved would be a problem for him. He states that he qualified for office on September 10, 2015 and withdrew from office September 15, 2015.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed.
Rule 1205D provides that an automatic late fee shall be rescinded by staff if the candidate officially withdrew with the Secretary of State from the election and received no contributions or loans and/or made any expenditures, excluding the qualifying fee.
