RE:
Request that the Board waive the $1,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against Jeremy Odom, a candidate for Governor in the October 24, 2015 Election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 11 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Jeremy Odom states that this was his first election for public office and he made every effort to timely file all reports. However, on November 1, 2015, his sister's husband was killed by a drunk driver in a car accident. All of his time from then on was devoted to his sister and their four children. When he received the notice that the report was late, he immediately logged onto Leaders and completed an affidavit because no money had been raised or spent since his last filing.
