RE:
Request that the Board waive the $40 and $440 campaign finance late fees assessed against Angela L. Brown, a candidate for St. Tammany Parish Justice of the Peace in the October 24, 2015 Election, whose 10-G and 40-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 1 and 11 days late, respectively.
Facts:
In connection with her request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Angela L. Brown states that the deadline date occurred during the holiday season and her household was overwhelmed with visiting family from out of the country. Due to lack of preparation, her personal funds via credit cards were used to finance her campaign. There are no funds available to pay the fees and she does not anticipate any donations in the future.
