Mr. Drake represents the City on a contractual basis. He is considering hiring the former city clerk who has recently left her position. She would be hired in a clerical role in Mr. Drake's office and would not handle any affairs for the office in which she participated while employed by the City. Recently, the former city clerk has accepted a position elsewhere and Mr. Drake does not anticipate extending her an offer for the position.
