Request that the Board waive the $900 and $420 campaign finance late fees assessed against Jim Wise, a candidate for Clerk of Court, Vernon Parish, in the October 24, 2015 election, whose 10-P and 10-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 15 and 7 days late, respectively. |
|
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fees assessed for the late filing of the reports, Jim Wise states that his accountant, Harold Cooley, was dealing with taking care of his 95 year old mother who was extremely ill and died on September 23, 2015. The month following her death was very stressful because Mr. Cooley had to take care of her affairs which caused him to overlook the filing deadlines.
