RE:
Request that the Board waive the $540 campaign finance late fee assessed against Neil Wolfson, a candidate for Plaquemines Parish Coroner in the October 24, 2015 election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 9 days late.
Facts:
In connection with the request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Sharon Wolfson states that her husband faced legal issues regarding eligibility. He had to appear in court and the court found that he was eligible to run for office. The late fees for the 10-P report would not be owed if he was disqualified from office. He also had difficulty learning how to electronically file reports.
