RE:
Request that the Board waive the $2,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against Donovan K. Hudson, a candidate for State Representative, District 40 in the October 24, 2015 election, whose 40-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 179 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request that the Board waive the late fee assessed for the late filing of the report, Donovan Hudson states that the only significant financial activity that occurred related to the campaign was the receipt of a $2,500 check and a payment of $2,500 as partial loan repayment. He states that to the best of his knowledge, all other financial activity was reflected in reports already submitted. He states that the oversight occurred because his associates sent him an email to remind him of the requirement to file the report, but it was sent to an address that was not monitored or in use after the run-off election.
