Mr. Burkette is requesting a waiver of his penalty for the delay in filing his March expenditure report. He was taking care of his 84 year old elderly mother on the filing day and he was honestly overwhelmed with her decreasing health. Mr. Burkette has provided the obituary and would appreciate some leniency if possible.

La R.S. 24:55 provides that registered lobbyist shall file a monthly expenditure report by the 25th day of the subsequent month.
Rule 1205B allows the Board to rescind a late fee assessed because of a serious medical condition which prevented the filer from timely filing the report.
