Ms. Williams is requesting a waiver of the penalty for the delay in filing the June expenditure report for Phillip Jared Smith. Mr. Smith ended his employment with the Baton Rouge Area Chamber on May 27, 2016. His lobbyist registration was terminated; however, it was inadvertently overlooked that a June expenditure report should have been filed. Immediate action was taken when the email was received regarding failure to submit a report. The report was submitted a day late. Ms. Williams has addressed the issue internally and is asking for consideration from the Board in waiving the $50 late fee.
