Mrs. Robertson is requesting a waiver of her penalty for the delay in filing her July expenditure report. Due to the August flood, her organization was busy setting up seven community meetings in Baton Rouge, while assisting members, staff and their families with gutting, cleaning, etc. Her organization also set up a fund for donations nationwide. The flood was their utmost concern at the time.

La R.S. 24:55 provides that registered lobbyist shall file a monthly expenditure report by the 25th day of the subsequent month.
Rule 1205B(3) provides that the late fee shall be rescinded if the following occurred on the due date or during the 14 days prior to the date the report was due: a natural disaster, an act of God, force majeure, a catastrophe, or such other similar occurrence.
