Elizabeth Heintz is an elected member of the St. Tammany Parish School Board (School Board). Ms. Heintz was invited to attend the 2017 Lifetouch Memory Mission trip to the Dominican Republic, after her name was pulled in a random drawing during a convention hosted by the National School Board Association. Lifetouch, Inc., a company that provides photography services for schools and families, will bear the travel costs associated with trip. While Lifetouch provides photography services for some of the schools within the Parish, the company is selected by the local school principal, not the School Board.

La. R.S. 42:1115A(1) prohibits a public servant from soliciting or accepting, directly or indirectly, any thing of economic value as a gift or gratuity from any person or from any officer, director, agent, or employee of such person, if such public servant knows or reasonably should know that such person has or is seeking to obtain contractual or other business or financial relationships with the public servant's agency.
