RE:
Request that the Board waive the $2,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against Raymond "Shoe Do" Lewis, in his capacity as a candidate for City Judge, New Iberia, in the November 4, 2014 election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 63 days late.
Facts:
Raymond "Shoe Do" Lewis states that he was informed by two members of the Ethics Board's staff that he was not required to file the 10-G report. He states that he was told that he did not have to file the report because he was considered an "other person" using his own personal money and took out an ad that was less than $1,000.
