Natalie Lopez Robin states that she honestly made a mistake in not filing the report as there was nothing to report for that time period. When she received the notice, she stated that she became flustered in thinking she messed something up. She stated that this, in turn, caused her to send in the 10 -P reporting one expense. She stated that expense was actually previously marked and the date of the check was applicable to the earlier report, and saw it cleared with the bank during the 10-P time period. She stated that she has been in contact with the Ethics office and has corrected the reports. She stated that she has had a very crazy year as she is a newly single mother of two, manager for a tri-parish Public Defender 's Office and maintains her position as a city councilwoman. She asks that the Board please consider waiving her late fee.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed. 18:1484.(2)(b). Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.
