RE:
Request that the Board waive the $100 campaign finance late fee assessed against Dennis W. Moore, in his capacity as a candidate for Judge, Criminal District Court, Section D, in the November 8, 2016 election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 1 day late.
Facts:
Krystal Anear, report preparer, states that this was an oversight on her part. The report was prepared for submission on October 29, 2016 and awaiting review prior to submission. On October 31, 2016, she was preparing her family's tomb for All Saint's Day holiday and failed to submit the report on the due date. She states she was so focused on getting the tomb pressure washed and painted for the All Saint's holiday that once she returned back to New Orleans, the report slipped her mind. On waking the next morning, she instantly realized that she had not filed the report and submitted it at that time.
