Charles S. Long, chairperson for FORK PAC, states that his son, Charles Spencer Long, II, his law clerk who was working while finishing his last semester at LSU Law School, was assigned to keep track of contributions, expenses and filing reports for the Fork PAC.
Unfortunately, his son fell ill. On October 20, 2016, Mr. Long states he got a call from Ochsner's transplant coordinator that they had a liver for his son and that he was to report to Ochsner's in New Orleans for his liver transplant within 24 hours. He stayed at the transitional apartment until November 9, 2016. To compound his personal problems, Mr. Long states that his 88 year old father fell and broke his hip on October 29, 2016 and had to be rushed to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for surgery.

Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.
