From January 28, 2014 to November 22, 2015, Benjamin Huxen was employed by the Division of Administration (DOA). He held the position of Executive Counsel at the time he terminated his service with DOA.
The Commissioner of Administration serves as an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees of MPERS (MPERS Board). Mr. Huxen was appointed by former Commissioner Kristy Nichols as her designee to attend MPERS meetings. According to the MPERS Board meeting minutes, Mr. Huxen served as Ms. Nichols's designee on two occasions: March 19, 2014 and April 16, 2014.

La. R.S. 42:1121A(2) provides that no former member of a board or commission shall, for a period of two years following the termination of his public service on such board or commission, contract with, be employed in any capacity by, or be appointed to any position by that board or commission.
