Withdrawal.
Carl Newburg, owner of C & N Computer Services, requested an advisory opinion as to whether he may continue to do business with the LaSalle Parish School Board if his son-in-law is appointed as Superintendent of LaSalle Parish Schools after the current Superintendent retires. Mr. Newburg later withdrew his request because his son-in-law was not appointed as Superintendent of LaSalle Parish Schools.

La. R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) prohibits public servants, their immediate family members, or legal entities in which they have a controlling interest, from entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
