Michael L. Wittler, a Commissioner for the Gravity Drainage District Number Four of Calcasieu Parish (District), wishes to pursue a worker's compensation claim for a work-related injury he suffered as an employee of the District. Mr. Wittler worked for the District from March 1986 until his retirement in July 2016, and he is currently serving on the Board of Commissioners for the District. While employed by the District, Mr. Wittler suffered work related hearing loss, and he is required to pursue his claim with the District's worker's compensation carrier, Stonetrust Commercial Insurance Company (Stonetrust). Mr. Wittler will file the worker's compensation claim with Stonetrust and the District will not be involved with any decisions regarding his claim.
