Request that the Board waive the $400 campaign finance late fee assessed against Mary-Sharon Howland, a candidate for Kenner City Council, Jefferson Parish, in the March 24, 2012 election, whose 2016 supplemental campaign finance disclosure report was filed 12 days late. |
|
Mary-Sharon Howland states she has been filing reports since running for her first elected office in 2006 and has never been late. She states she has a daughter who lives with her and has health issues. Also, she states her 94 year father lives in Lafayette and she is the only child. She states she placed the campaign finance report in a folder to be completed, but the time got away as her family's needs are many and she works full time. She humbly asks that the late fee be waived and assures this will not happen again.
