Advisory opinion request as to whether Billy Spikes may continue to work part time with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office in the Senior Care Unit during the time that he runs for the office of City Council in the City of DeRidder.
Facts:
Billy Spikes works part time with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office in the Senior Care Unit and plans to run for the office of City Council in the City of DeRidder in 2018. He would like to continue to work part time with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office while he seeks election to this office.
Recommendations:
Adopt the proposed advisory opinion.
