RE:
Request that the Board waive the $420 campaign finance late fee assessed against Jamie Roussell, a candidate for State Senator, 2nd District in the April 29, 2017 election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 7 days late.
Facts:
Jamie Roussell states that he completed his 10- G campaign finance disclosure form timely on May 17, 2017 as required. However, for reasons unknown to him, he states the submission was blocked, rejected or simply not received by the Ethics Board on May 17, 2017. He states that he didn't realize that the Ethics Board hadn't received his report until he received a letter indicating that it was late. Mr. Roussell states that he contacted the IT Department on June 8th, 2017 and it was confirmed that the report was created on May 17, 2017, but not viewable until May 24, 2017.
