Request that the Board reconsider waiving the $1,020 campaign finance late fee assessed against Bobby Doak, a candidate for Constable, Second Justice Court, Jefferson Parish in the November 4, 2014 Election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 17 days late. |
|
Deborah Doaks, wife of and on behalf of Bobby Doaks, states that she was responsible for Mr. Doaks' filing but was late as she was distracted by: (1) being in a serious automobile accident on 10-19-2014, with her daughter and her daughter's grandmother which resulted in the grandmother's death a week later; (2) subsequent injuries to her own back and leg requiring surgery to regain mobility in her left leg; and, (3) her daughter's subsequent miscarriage.
She apologizes for the lateness as she was distracted by these events over the span of just a month and half. She states that she is and has been focused on upcoming surgeries and her daughter's mental health.
