Request that the Board waive the $760, $1,000 and $1,000 campaign finance late fees assessed against Allen Broussard, in his capacity as a candidate for Chief of Police / City of Crowley, Acadia Parish (Pop. 13,265), in the March 5, 2016 election, whose 30-P, 10-G and 40-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 74 and 19 days late, respectively, and the 40-G has not been filed.
Allen Broussard states that the 30-P and 10-G were faxed in from fax number (337) 788-1127 on the due dates. He states that the fax number was for his business, which is now closed and the fax number is now disconnected. As for the 40-G, he states that he read something saying that if he had not been elected in the primary, he was not responsible for doing such.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed. 18:1484.(2)(b). Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.

Decline to waive for the 30-P, 10-G and 40-G reports.
