RE:
Request that the Board waive the $800 campaign finance late fees assessed against Jason Rogers Williams, a candidate for Council member at Large, Division 2, Orleans Parish in the October 14, 2017 election, whose 90-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 8 days late.
Facts:
Jason Rogers Williams states that Nicole Burdett prepared the report and to the best of her knowledge, the report was submitted. He states that Ms. Burdett had a medical procedure done which required her to be out of the office several days after she tried to submit the report. After returning from surgery, he states that she realized there was no confirmation e-mail.
