Request that the Board waive the $600 campaign finance late fee assessed against Matthew Hill, a candidate for Mayor, City of New Orleans in the October 14, 2017 election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 6 days late. |
|
Matthew Hill states this was his first campaign and he got distracted by his day job and the campaign trail and lost track of the submission dates. He states he struggled with his scheduling during the campaign because he did not have a campaign manager or a supporting staff. He states this forced him to juggle too many roles and missed a few key things during the campaign including the due date of the 10 -P filing. He apologizes to the Board and to the citizens of New Orleans who were expecting him to be on time with his filing.
