Advisory opinion regarding whether the Code of Governmental Ethics would prohibit Michael J. Sanders, a part time police office with the Village of Anacoco, from being appointed as Interim Chief of Police by the Anacoco Board of Alderman and then run for the position in the upcoming special election for Chief of Police of the Village. Mr. Sanders stated that he does not serve on the Board of Alderman.
