Patricia Aleshire, Site Manager for Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site, would like to co-author a guide book on the history of Rosedown Plantation. Aleshire would write the book during her off hours along with Gail Chisum, a photographer and author of several books on the region. The book would be for sale in gift shops in the West Feliciana area. Any revenue attributed to Aleshire would be donated to the Friends of Rosedown, a non-profit support organization. Aleshire's job duties as Site Manger include 50% worksite management, 30% fiscal management (accounting) and 20% personnel management. Aleshire is not responsible for historical documents or artifacts.

La. R.S. 42:1111C(1)(a) prohibits a public servant from receiving any thing of economic value for any service, the subject matter of which is devoted substantially to the responsibilities, programs, or operations of the agency of the public servant and in which the public servant has participated.
La. R.S. 42:1113A prohibits a public servant, or member of his immediate family, or legal entity in which he has a controlling interest from bidding on or entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of his agency.
