Request that the Board waive the $1,300 campaign finance late fee assessed against Reginald "Reggie" Laurent, in his capacity as a candidate for District Judge, 22nd Judicial District Court, Division H, St. Tammany Parish, in the October 14, 2017 election, whose 90-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 13 days late. |
|
Reginald Laurent states his campaign for Judge in the 22nd Judicial District was a low budget grass roots one. He states his funds are low and a waiver or reduction will go a long way in helping him recover from the loss. He assured that meticulous and detail records were kept and reported for all contributions and expenditures. He states that the late filed report did not result from any lack of care or concern. Kevin O'Neill, the person responsible for submitting reports, indicated the late filing resulted from a simple misunderstanding as he awaited certain documents.
