The Kaplan Chief of Police is an elected position. Mrs. Hardy has agreed to be appointed as a Board Commissioner for the Kaplan Housing Authority, but intends on campaigning on behalf of her husband. Joshua Hardy is not employed in any capacity by the City of Kaplan. Additionally, the Kaplan Housing Authority does not have any contracts with the Kaplan Police Department.
