Request that the Board waive the $60 campaign finance late fee assessed against Daniel R. "Danny" Martiny, a candidate for Councilman, District 4, Jefferson Parish and his committee's chairperson and treasurer, Peggy C. Siegel, in the October 14, 2017 election, whose Special (48 Hour) campaign finance disclosure report was filed 1 day late. |
|
Donna R. Gordon, Financial Secretary for Daniel Martiny, states she has prepared campaign finance reports for various candidates and Mr. Martiny's campaign finance reports since 2002. She states that this is the first time that she has ever had a campaign report filed late and, correspondingly, the first time that she has had a candidate assessed with a late fee. She states that an in-kind contribution was reported on the 10-G report, but she misunderstood the requirements for these type of contributions. She states she did not realize her error until she was notified and it was corrected immediately.
