Waiver request submitted by Cullen Kovac, a member of the West Carroll Parish School Board, regarding a $1500 late fee assessed for filing his 2016-2017 School Board Disclosure Statement 445 days late and a $1500 late fee assessed for filing his 2017-2018 School Board Disclosure Statement 51 days late. |

Mr. Kovac was sworn into office in January 2016. Mr. Kovac was not aware of the requirement to file annual school board disclosure statements disclosing the employment of his wife with the school, who has been employed for more than one year prior to his election. It was not until he was given the form by the secretary that he was aware of the filing requirement.
