Sheila Ann Jordan has been employed since May 2012 as a Program Manager 1 (Family Lead) of the Coordinated System of Care (CSoC) within the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), Office of Behavioral Health (OBH). Ms. Jordan's duties with CSoC include training provider agencies who receive a Medicaid administrative fee via Magellan Healthcare and family support agencies, which are provided a Medicaid-reimbursed fee for service. Ms. Jordan has never provided direct service to consumers, only provider agencies, which are private organizations.
Ms. Jordan is also the sole owner of ESTEEM Youth Programs, Inc. (ESTEEM), a non-profit corporation which is a private-pay character education program that serves youth by conducting summer-focused service activities involving health, academics, community, socialization and self-mastery. Ms. Jordan serves as Executive Director of ESTEEM.
ESTEEM is interested in becoming a provider of the Independent Living Skills Building service provider type, licensed by the Licensing Division of LDH and credentialed by Magellan. ESTEEM would be paid and trained by Magellan which in turn would be reimbursed by Medicaid, like other CSoC provider types. Ms. Jordan is not currently paid as an employee of ESTEEM, however growth of the company may allow for that opportunity.
