Request that the Board waive the $3,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against the Community Organization for Urban Politics, a political action committee, and its committee's chairperson, Lambert Boissiere, Jr., in the November 18, 2017 election whose 40-G campaign finance report was filed 19 days late. |
|
Lambert Boissiere, Jr, Chairperson for Community Organization for Urban Politics, states that due to the organization having no campaign contributions or expenses for the primary and general election, he was not aware that he was required to file the 40-G report. To his knowledge, he states he was required to file the required 2017 annual report which was due on February 15, 2018. He states that he immediately filed the 40-G report once he received notice from the Ethic's office and was instructed by staff that he was required to file the report. He states all other required reports have been filed timely. Therefore, he respectfully requests a reduction in the amount of the fine assessed.
