Kenneth Wilson is a city councilman for the City of Monroe, Louisiana. Wilson is also the President of Positive Enterprise for Empowering the Public, Inc. (PEEP), a Louisiana non-profit corporation that provides educational services for after school tutoring and adult education. Wilson would like to hire Jacqueline Benjamin to work part-time for PEEP as a consultant handling marketing and web development for the organization for which she would be compensated. Benjamin is a full-time employee of the City of Monroe and serves as the Monroe City Council Staff Secretary. Benjamin was appointed by the Chairman of the Council, Eddie Clark in 2013. The Chairman's position is elected annually by the membership of the Council and must be filled by a councilperson. Benjamin's duties for PEEP would be conducted at a time when she is not working for the City of Monroe.
