Jeannie Moctezuma requested an advisory opinion regarding whether the Code would prohibit her from continuing her employment with Columbia University Teachers College if she accepts a position with DOE as a Director of the Department of Education Leadership and Evaluation. She stated that she currently has a contract with Columbia University Teachers College as a course instructor for the Summer Principal's Academy Internship Program. She provided that DOE Department of Education Leadership and Evaluation does not have any contracts with Columbia University Teachers College; however, it is her understanding that DOE has a contract with Columbia University, Center for Public Research and Leadership at Columbia Law School. She provided that these are two different colleges under the same University title.
