Request that the Board waive the $240 campaign finance late fee assessed against Tonya S. Lurry, a candidate for District Judge, 18th JDC, Pointe Coupee and West Baton Rouge Parishes, in the March 24, 2018 election, her committee's chairperson, Jamie E. Fontenot, and treasurer, Donovan Dugas, whose 2017 Annual campaign finance disclosure report was filed 4 days late. |

Jamie E. Fontenot, campaign manager for Tonya S. Lurry, states her inexperience and the special election date requiring two reports to be filed in close proximity to one another caused her to misunderstand the reporting requirements. She states that when she returned from a skiing vacation, she decided to call the staff attorneys to make sure she had done everything correctly. She was told the report was already four days past due and filed the annual report the same night. Since that initial filing, she states all reports have been timely filed.
