Appearance in connection with a request that the Board reconsider waiving the $1,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against Gerald "Jermarr" Williams, a candidate for Mayor, Town of White Castle, in the November 4, 2014 election, whose EDE-G report was filed 582 days late. |
|
Waiver Request
Gerald Williams states that he did not receive notice that the EDE-G report was late until July 14, 2016. He also states that he relied on a professional to assist him with the reports. He asks that the fine be waived because he was not late with any other reports for this election and it had $0 activity.
Reconsideration Request
Lauren Fitch states that since there was no activity for the EDE-G report, the individual in charge of Mr. Williams' account assumed that there was not a requirement to file a report. She states that once her office received the late fee notice from the Ethics Board, the report was immediately filed.
