RE:
Request that the Board waive a $2,500 campaign finance late fee assessed against Troy Henry, a candidate for Mayor, City of New Orleans in the October 14, 2017 election, whose 2017 Supplemental campaign finance disclosure report was filed 76 days late.
Facts:
Sterling Henry, campaign manager for Troy Henry, states that they found the report in their system under "Reports in Progress." He states that it is clear that the report was in their system as of February 7th, well in advance of the deadline. He states he personally recalls hitting the "Submit" button on that day. He states that they cannot explain why the report was not recognized by the Ethics Board's system on February 7th. He states this could have been nothing more than a technical glitch or internet problem at that time.
