Request for an advisory opinion from Beth Courtney with Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) as to whether a golf tournament fundraiser at The Bluffs golf course would be possible when a board member of a company that holds the TV licenses for LPB has a spouse who is a principal in The Bluffs.
Facts:
Beth Courtnery with Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) planned to have a golf tournament at The Bluffs in St. Francisville in order to raise funds for Friends of LPB, a non-profit charitable organization which supports LPB. Gwen Carter is a board member of the Louisiana Educational Television Authority which holds the TV licenses for LPB. Carter is married to a principal of The Bluffs.
