C & B Trucking, LLC, may provide compensated trucking services to a subcontractor on local Department of Transportation and Development projects. |

Cody Estilette co-owns C & B Trucking, LLC and is employed as a Training Coordinator in the Business Office within District 3 of the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD-District 3) located in Lafayette, Louisiana. His duties include training inspectors and maintenance personnel on equipment that they are assigned to operate. His trucking company, C & B Trucking, LLC, is considering providing trucking services to subcontractors for various projects overseen by DOTD-District 3 project engineers within the Engineering Division. These projects are entered into through the Department of Transportation and Development's main office in Baton Rouge and do not involve the Business Office of DOTD-District 3.

La. R.S. 42:1113 prohibits public servants, their immediate family members, or legal entities in which they have a controlling interest, from entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d) prohibits a public servant from rendering services for compensation to any person if that person is conducting activities or operations regulated by the agency of the public servant.
