Advisory opinion regarding whether the Code of Governmental Ethics would prohibit Raymond Bernard, Jr, an employee of Aviation Exteriors, from being appointed to the Airport Authority. He stated that Aviation Exteriors leases three hangers from the Airport Authority. He added that the business of Aviation Exteriors is to paint aircraft but that it does not provide any services to or for the Airport Authority.

La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d) prohibits a public servant and a legal entity in which the public servant exercises control or owns an interest in excess of twenty-five percent, from receiving compensation for services rendered to any person who has or is seeking to obtain a business, contractual, or financial relationship with the public servant's agency.
