Rebecca Murley has signed a consent order in which she agrees that she violated La. R.S. 42:1111A(1)(a) wth a $2,000 civil penalty. Ms. Thomas has submitted two payments of the the $2,000 civil penalty. She has signed a confession of judgment as well.

La. R.S. 42:1111A provides that no public servant shall receive anything of economic value, other than compensation and benefits from the governmental entity to which he is duly entitled, for the performance of the duties and responsibilities of his office or position.
