Lee Hooper, the father of Jeff Hooper, states that he was doing the finance reporting for his son. On November 13, 2018, he states he received a late fee assessment in the mail saying he was late reporting for the 30-P report. He states he remembered doing that report on October 9, 2018 and clicking submit.
He states he realized what happened on October 29 2018 when he filled out the 10-P report because when he clicked submit it asked for his email address. He then realized that he didn't remember doing that for the 30 -P report. He states he went back to the 30 -P report and clicked submit and noticed it asked for his email address.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed. 18:1484.(2)(b). Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.
