Mary Hoffman, report preparer for Education Reform Now Advocacy (ERNA), states she started working with this group earlier this year and has filed several reports. She states that there was some confusion on her part in regards to the Special and 10-G reports. She states she filed two Special reports with each having a disbursement for Snickerbocker for direct mail. She states the 10-G report was filed after she spoke with someone from Ethics and realized her mistake. She states ERNA had only these two reported items from the Special reports which were included on the 10-G report.
Ms. Hoffman stated that the waiver request was untimely because ERNA is located in New York and the late fee order went there before making it to her in Baton Rouge.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty for each day until such report is filed. 18:1484.(2)(b). Each candidate for any other public office shall file reports of contributions in excess of two hundred dollars in the aggregate during the aggregating period.
