RE:
Request that the Board waive the $40 campaign finance late fee assessed against Kerry Lincoln, a candidate for Parish Council, District 8, Plaquemines Parish, in the November 6, 2018 election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 1 day late.
Facts:
Robin W. Callegan, report preparer for Kerry Lincoln, states that on the evening of October 29, 2018, she attempted many times to file Mr. Lincoln's report electronically. However, she states she continued to receive an error message saying that the report was not accepted. Because the office was already closed for the evening, she states she had no way of contacting anyone to assist her with this problem. She states she contacted Campaign Finance first thing the next morning and they were able to walk her through the problem and get the report filed.
