Request that the Board waive the $80 campaign finance late fee assessed against Versa "V.O." Clark, a candidate for Councilman, District D, City of Shreveport, Bossier and Caddo Parishes, in the November 6, 2018 election, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 2 days late. |
|
Versa Clark states that this is her first time running for public office and she did not have the funding to have a Campaign Manager, Finance Director, or any of the major positions required to run a successful campaign. She states she performed all those duties by herself and had a volunteer staffer that helped set up the campaign's Facebook page. She states she thought she understood what needed to be completed, but subsequently did not. She stated that the campaign account at present is approximately $5,000 in debt, mainly attributed to personal loans.
