Roddy Bergeron is contemplating running for Lafayette City-Parish Council. Mr. Bergeron is employed as the Chief Operating Officer of Enterprise Data Concepts, LLC (EDC). Mr. Bergeron has no ownership interest in EDC, and is a regular, salaried employee.
EDC is a privately owned IT managed service and solutions provider. Since 2015, EDC has performed one sales transaction with the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court's Office. On May 29, 2018, an invoice was generated by EDC to the Lafayette Clerk of Court for support of VMware, software currently being utilized by the Clerk of Court.

La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d) prohibits a public servant from receiving compensation for services rendered to or for a person that has or is seeking to have a contractual, business or financial relationship with his agency.
La. R.S. 42:1102(16) defines "person" to mean an individual or legal entity other than a governmental entity, or an agency thereof.
